The purpose of an aquarium check valve is to allow gas to flow through it in only one direction.
The Dymax check valve are two-prt valve, meaning they have two openings in its body. One for gas to enter and the other to leafe. There are few types of application use in an aquarium. Eg. they are commonly use with air pumps or with Co2 regulators in order to prevent back flow of awuarium water into these equipment when there is a stop of gas supply, causing the equipment to breakdown and siphon away tank water through the gas tubing.
